I created a window display for the Barnes & Noble I work at! It’s to promote Michael Crichton and James Patterson’s new book, Eruption. It was fun to put some of my artistic skills to use at my retail job. It took two full shifts and a lot of construction paper to make, but I think it came out well and people in the store seem to like it.
Sorry for the poor picture quality. It’s a bit hard to see with the reflection from the window.
Here’s a different angle so you can see the middle panel a bit better.
Here’s some of the behind-the-scenes work that went into it.
Rough sketches from when were brainstorming ideas for the window.
Digital mock up sketch.
Cutting out the letters was by far the most tedious part of this whole process. Everything felt easier after these were done.
For the title of the book I added flame details to the letters.
Super cool!
